Winterization Tips

Running Gear

o Check lug nuts.
o Check tire pressure.
o Place tires on wood if possible.
o Install tire covers.
o Grease hitch.

Water System

o Remove low point drain plugs or open water drain valves.
o Allow all water to drain from the system.
o Remove Hot Water Heater drain valve and leave out.
o Make sure gray and black water tanks have been emptied.
o Remove water filter canister (if equipped) and throw out filter element.
o Re-install water filter canister housing.
o Set Hot Water Heater bypass to bypass position.
o Drain fresh water tank.
o Close all water drain valves once water has stopped.
o Activate water pump winterization valve to pump antifreeze into system.
o Close all faucets.
o Turn on water pump with hose in antifreeze.
o Once system up to pressure, open cold water faucets one at a time starting with the farthest one from the pump.
o Allow faucet to run until steady stream of antifreeze flowing.
o Repeat with all faucets, outside shower, and toilet.
o Repeat now with all hot water faucets.
o When all faucets complete, turn off water pump.
o Set pump winterizing valve back to normal position.
o Open one cold water faucet to take pressure off lines.
o Remove and empty water filter canister if equipped.
o Re-install filter canister empty.
o Press release valve in center of city water inlet until antifreeze trickles out.
o Pour antifreeze into all traps.
o Special process is required for Ice Maker or Washing Machine.

Electrical System

o Unplug shore power.
o Disconnect and remove battery(s).

Propane System

o Shut off all propane tanks.

General

o Clean exterior of unit.
o Check all roof, window, compartment, and door seals.  Re-seal as necessary.
o Install air conditioner cover.
o Place mouse deterrent materials in unit.
